Safety First Pediaquatics
Instructor Training Policies & Expectations
Thank you for choosing to train with Safety First Pediaquatics. Iām excited to help guide you through this hands-on experience and support you as you begin your journey teaching children
and families water safety.
This training is designed to provide real-life experience, structure, and mentorship, but becoming a confident instructor takes continued practice, patience, and time in the water.
Training Expectations
- Trainees are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and ready to participate each day.
- Professionalism, kindness, and patience with children and families are required at all times.
- Hands-on participation is essential throughout the training process.
- Questions are always encouraged. Learning happens through observation, repetition, and experience.
Continued Education
Learning does not stop after certification. Continued education, practice, observation, and time teaching independently are strongly encouraged in order to grow as an instructor and build confidence in the water.
Experience Takes Time
While this training provides the foundation and tools needed to begin teaching, mastery comes with experience. I have personally spent over 10 years teaching thousands of lessons, working with children of many different ages, personalities, and skill levels. Becoming a strong instructor is a journey, and growth comes through consistency, dedication, and continued hands-on experience over time.
Support
All trainees receive continued support and guidance following completion of training. My goal is not only to certify you, but to help you feel confident as you continue growing in your career.
Policies
- Training payments are non-refundable. ⢠Missed training days may need to be made up depending on the circumstance and scheduling availability.
- Safety First Pediaquatics reserves the right to end training if professionalism, safety, or participation expectations are not met.
We are honored to be part of your journey and excited to help you make a difference in the live of children and families through water safety and swim instruction.
